Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Custom Artwork Nature

At Deepak's Art, every portrait, sketch, and painting is 100% custom-made by hand based on the specific photographs and requirements provided by the customer. Because these items are highly personalized and cannot be resold, our refund policy reflects the custom nature of our business.

2. Order Cancellation

  • Before Work Begins: If you request a cancellation before the artist has started working on your portrait (usually within 24 hours of advance payment), you are eligible for a 100% full refund of your advance payment.
  • After Work Begins: Once the sketching or painting process has started, the 50% advance payment becomes non-refundable. This covers the cost of premium materials (Bristol paper, charcoal, fixatives) and the artist's dedicated time.
  • After Completion: Once the artwork is completed, approved by you via WhatsApp/Email, and shipped, the order cannot be cancelled under any circumstances.

3. Approval Process (No Surprises)

We believe in 100% transparency. Before fixing and shipping the final artwork, we will send you a high-resolution photograph or video of the completed portrait.

If you feel minor adjustments are needed, we will make those changes at no extra cost. The artwork is only shipped after you give your final approval. Because you approve the artwork before it leaves our studio, we do not offer refunds based on "change of mind" or dissatisfaction after delivery.

4. Damage During Transit

We pack all our artworks in highly secure, rigid PVC tubes or reinforced wooden boxes. However, if your artwork arrives damaged due to mishandling by the courier (Domestic or International/USA shipping):

  • Please record a continuous unboxing video clearly showing the sealed package and the damage inside.
  • Email the video to info@deepaksart.in or send it via WhatsApp to +91 9810543028 within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Once verified, we will either provide a free replacement portrait of the exact same photo or issue a partial/full refund depending on the severity of the damage.

5. International Orders (USA, UK, Canada)

For cross-border transactions processed via Stripe, the same cancellation rules apply. Please note that any customs duties, import taxes, or local clearance fees levied by your country's government are the responsibility of the buyer and are non-refundable. If an international package is returned to us due to unpaid customs duties or an incorrect address provided by the buyer, no refunds will be issued.

6. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be credited back to your original method of payment (UPI, Credit Card, PayPal, or Stripe) within 5 to 7 business days.
